Work in development, experiments worth revisiting, and a look at the game worlds beyond the finished releases.

Independent game · arcade action
Bugout
An energetic, arcade-focused project built around familiar, immediate play hooks: quick reactions, escalating pressure, and chasing a better score. Its art and systems draw deliberately on the rough charm of older games, with an emphasis on moment-to-moment momentum.
I have been responsible for design, gameplay programming, and visual and audio production throughout independent development.

Ludum Dare 44 origins · expanded project
Our Dear Friend
A spooky roguelite platformer about loneliness, regret, and facing a terrible past. Players venture into branching caves armed with a bow, limited arrows, and a grappling hook. Survival-horror ideas encourage conserving resources and weighing every encounter, while the cave layout aims to make each playthrough feel different.
Originally created with Hamish McIntyre for Ludum Dare 44, the game has grown into a larger independent project. I have worked across game design, programming, art production, and integrating collaborators' contributions.

Divers Wanted
An archival glimpse of an additional idea from Evil Brain's earlier games page. The voxel-style underwater scene shows a different visual direction and helps round out the collection of exploratory work.
